Landborders open again ! The good news Sabela

Smelling the dust of dry soil whilst you watch a herd of buffalo stampeding along the river bank. Is this really Namibia? The country known for the highest sand dunes and oldest desert? Yes, you have just submerged yourself in the heart of KAZA, the Bwabwata National Park in the Zambesi Region of Namibia.

It is time to travel the heart of Kaza with land borders open again! KAZA Transfrontier Conservation Area is larger than Austria and Germany combined. It lies in the Kavango and Zambezi basins where Angola, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia converge.

The KAZA TFCA offers some of Africa’s best game viewing. This huge area, much of which is a vast and beautiful wilderness of deserts, savannas and endless marshes, is any safari expert’s dream destination. This region can be explored by 4×4, self drive or  in a mokoro and be spoilt with choice by luxurious accommodation in all shapes and forms.

We are very happy to advise that the border posts of Vic Falls and Kanzangula opened on 30 July for fully vaccinated travellers. You will still need a negative PCR test on arrival.

And with flights between Windhoek Eros airport to Rundu and Katima Malilo you can connect easily to the Kavango area and beyond. These flights will commence on 24 August https://www.flywestair.com/

As of March /April ’22 Eurodiscover is set to fly Frankfurt- Windhoek- Vic Falls and back thereby offering further options to combine regions of Kaza in the perfect safari holiday.

The possibilities to do a  combined safari in a variety of  areas with our partners such as African Monarch Lodges and Machaba Safaris (Ngoma Safari Lodge) or even venture into Zambia for a world class walking safari with Robin Pope Safaris are endless. Contact us for itinerary suggestions and more information on our partners.

Please also watch this space for a new addition to our portfolio within our Classic Namibia group. Exciting times ahead and overjoyed with the thought of travelling happening again.

Southern Africa is waiting and calling you !
