Machaba Safaris Camps re-opening and specials
It is with great joy that we can announce that Machaba’s Kiri Camp will be opening in June, which is being celebrated with a whopper opening special!
3 Nights at Gomoti Plains and 3 nights at Kiri Camp. Helicopter flights included between the airport and camp, intercamp flights and back to the airport. This special will be valid until end October. Please see here for more details.
This new camp is perfectly situated in a previously inaccessible area of the Delta. Wild, untouched and authentic are the words that come to mind… With access along the river by mokoro or motorboat, you can expect some spectacular wildlife encounters.
Machaba Camp Openings
Verney’s Camp has also reopened and is now welcoming guests for the safari of a lifetime in the heart of Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park.
Mana River Camp will be reopening in May 2022 and the team is looking forward to welcoming guests back.
With its beautiful setting along the pristine Zambezi River, this camp is a place of incredible wildlife encounters and a true safari experience. Mana River Camp is the perfect combination with Ingwe Pan.

Robin Pope Safaris – Travel Updates, fees and offers
Let us start with the biggest positive news and that is that Robin Pope Safaris will and have not increased their rates from 2020 and these will still be valid in 2023!

T&C’s – Robin Pope Safaris has relaxed the cancellation policy. The deposit for a safari, can be refunded up to 60 days or more before the trip, if the cancellation is due to Covid. Otherwise, the payment may be applied to future trips.
Zambia has dropped the PCR test requirement for fully vaccinated travellers. On departure though you will still need to adhere to the requirements from your next destination country.
Please see the respective country travel updates which we receive on a regular basis to inform us and your clients of any changes happening on ground and easing of travel planning. In here you will also see as mentioned before that Zambia has decreased the visa fees by 50%.

Robin Pope Safari Camp Update
With regards to the camps here are some updates on what is happening:
At Pumulani they have been hard at work doing pool maintenance and general camp fix ups for the re-opening on the 1st of May. Pleaser remember not to offer the Dhow experience at present.
Kuthengo will be opening on the 1st of April and soon after that Mkulumadzi. The repairs after the recent floods are now complete.
Over in Zambia, Luangwa River Camp will re-open in May and the rest of the camps as per the normal seasons they usually operate.
