Robin Pope started his own company in 1986 with the construction of Tena Tena and with the main focus on natured orientated safaris. Since 1990 he has gained a legendary reputation as one of the leaders in multiple day walking safaris, during which, as a highly qualified guide he immersed his guests deep into the secrets of the wilderness. The 1990s also saw the development of remote areas such as Bangweulu Swamps, Kazanka National Park and the Liuwa Plain for safari activities. Since 2006, Robin and Jo Pope have been cooperating with Cees Slager, CEO of Moelcaten, with whose activities in Malawi they united their company in 2010. All accommodations and activities under the Robin Pope Safaris name are still run in the tradition of the name giver's intentions. Ton and Margaux De Rooy, son in law and daughter of Cees Slager, are running the company with great personal commitment ever since.

The two spacious bedrooms (one double and one triple) each with en-suite bathrooms along with the main area are protected from the wilds of Zambia by large set gauze windows, this makes it perfectly safe for families with young children. The main area with its large comfy sofa and chairs is the perfect place for catching up on the day’s safari with a cold drink before your dinner cooked for you by your private chef.
