With great passion and dedication, and roots deeply anchored into African soil, Hella Göbel represents a small portfolio of privately owned, and unique Safari Lodges and Camps in the most pristine wilderness areas of Southern Africa. Based in Europe, her heart beats for the unspoilt African bush and she refers to her clients as real safari visionaries.
Hella is supported by a competent team of freelancers who are all very familiar with Africa as well as the tourism industry. The focus of Sabela Africa is marketing, training and sales support and being the extended arm of her partners in Southern Africa into the European market. Sabela Africa covers the following markets: Germany, Switzerland and Austria as well as Benelux.

Africa runs thick in Hella´s blood. Born and raised in Namibia she spent most of her free time on safari with her parents travelling through Namibia, Angola and Botswana, but also travelled extensively internationally. At the age of 15, she decided that travel is her destiny and she decided to pursue that dream. She studied marketing and communication in Cape Town and added a tourism degree in Germany where she has been based since 1991. Working in tourism all her life, she set up her own company in 2000 formally known as Exclusive Travel Choice and rebranded to Sabela Africa in 2019.
Hella is a botanist at heart. After a bush walk, she would come back to camp with a number of flower pictures whilst everybody else would brag about claws, paws and poos… Whilst she loves being in a Landcruiser and discovering vast empty spaces in a desert, you will also easily find her on a mobile walking safari trekking through the wilderness or on horse back observing wildlife. But Africa is and always will be just a heartbeat away for her.
